Introduction to Quality Strategies International Holdings Pty (Ltd) 

QSi Holdings is a group of five companies of which each provide a specific range of expertise and services in the Facilitation and Training of Continuous Improvement interventions.

We help to enable our Clients in achieving their Core Business Objectives and a balanced set of measurements which will lead to sustainable Best in Class Performance Excellence.

Business Objectives

The QSi Group’s mission is to carry on business of facilitation, training of which the scope of the functions will be providing solutions, which add value to the client’s core business objectives.

QSi is a group of interrelated specialist companies that assists organizations and enterprises in attaining greater success through the effective execution of continuous improvement initiatives on a project-by-project approach. Change management is an integral process in the effective deployment of any strategy and QSi group provides proven world-class methodologies to deliver.

The QSi group operates in partnership with clients as a performance-driven service supplier.

Our approach is to understand the customer’s business and work with the customer as an integrated part of the team. The emphasis is always on quality, value and ensuring we deliver.

COMPANY FORMATION

QSi was given birth in 1992 and developed out of David Hutchins Int from the UK. The initial emphasis of the organisation was ISO 9000 Quality Systems. This has evolved over the years as Client requirements in South Africa developed into a more holistic approach towards Total Quality. QSi group of companies now offer the most comprehensive range of Continuous Improvement Services available in Southern Africa. The company offices are situated at or own Blue Hills Conference Centre in Midrand.

Our methodology

For an organization to become Best in Class, Specific knowledge, skills and wisdom are required with an understanding of the critical symbiotic relationships of the numerous functions, initiatives and objectives in an organisation.

QSi over the accumulated years of experience has developed the understanding and skills that it takes to transcend the three critical stages of becoming Best in Class.

Stage one is about Change of Style that an organization must undergo to develop and realize the full potential of its people. It’s about who we are as an organization, our values and belief systems; where are we now and where do we want to be. QSi equips the organization for the commencement of this journey by facilitating the strategic management skills and knowledge required at this phase such as Self-assessment and development and deployment of the Business Strategy via Hoshin Kanrie.

Stage two is about the Effectiveness of the organization. A Commonsense approach to

reducing variability in all the business processes and creating a solid foundation from which to improve. QSi now equips the Client with the tools and skills which bring stability to all the business processes through a comprehensive range of tools, facilitation skills and training such as, Benchmarking, Customer Service, Problem Solving Skills, Quality Costing

Integrated Management Systems, ISO 9001 QMS, ISO 14001 EMS and OHSAS 18001.

Stage three is about entering into Best in Class Efficiency. Now that we have built a solid foundation from which to improve its now about becoming dynamic and innovative and managing constant change. The old saying “if it works leave it alone” gets thrown out of the window by the new corporate culture of “if it works fix it” The saying of Dr J Juran “There is no other management break through possible except by Project by Project improvement at a rate of revolution” now comes into full force.

We now equip the Client through training and facilitation of advanced Project Management and Improvement skills such as, Process Improvement, Six Sigma. Teaching in-house facilitators and transferring ownership.
